Assorted Debris II - missing live credits
It's been brought to my attention that Bilian Frost, who played drums on the live rendition of "Cold Floor" on Assorted Debris II is upset that he wasn't credited for his performance - and rightfully so. Unfortunately neither was Bret Calder - it was an oversight when putting together the release, and not a slight to anyone involved. A mistake, which is now corrected.
Thanks to both of them for their involvement in that era of I, Parasite, and I'm sorry for not triple checking the information before releasing the album.

Android Lust and Roughhausen, with special guests I, Parasite: The Viscerex Complex Tour
Roughhausen and Android Lust co-headlining US tour this September 2011 with very special guests I, Parasite.
The Viscerex Complex Tour brings the double-headed assault of alien chanteuse Android Lust and sonic tormentor Roughhausen across North America this September. The combined fury of these co-headliners promises to make this one of the most enthralling tours of 2011, as each artist has cemented their reputation as a progressive experimenter with sound. Between the feral beauty of Android Lust's electro/acoustic post-industrial and Roughhausen's ferocious fusion of grindcore, techno and EBM, the Viscerex Complex Tour will leave no audience unscathed.
Android Lust, recently transplanted from New York to LA, continues to support her fourth studio album, "The Human Animal", after last year's memorable Animalia tour with Mankind Is Obsolete. Roughhausen, the current project of ex-Front Line Assembly / Will / Decree guitarist J. Stoddard, most recently toured N. America in early 2011 and now return from their home base of Taiwan to promote their latest EP, "Throb." Joining the Viscerex Complex Tour are industrial sludge-rockers I, Parasite in suport of their latest CD "The Sick are not Healing," which features a guest appearance by Rob Caggiano of Anthrax on guitar.

Celebrating fifteen years of obscurity
I, Parasite turns fifteen this month! Back in July 1996 Justin Butts and I started what would soon be called "I, Parasite." We had some other people come and go, but Justin and I made it through several demo cassettes leading to our debut album on Tinman Records, "Turin."
Check out the early days of I, Parasite here:
Demos, miscellaneous, and live tracks: http://music.iparasite.net/album/assorted-debris-i-1996-2001 (free d/l!)

New I, Parasite track on Pale Blue Dot compilation
From Synthellec Music:
The name is borrowed from a photograph of planet Earth taken in 1990 by Voyager 1 from four billion miles away, and a subsequent book by astronomer Carl Sagan. It puts in perspective how fragile we are, how negligible our perceived differences. The recent earthquakes and tsunami in Japan are a stark reminder of that fact. It brings home the need to stand by one another in whatever capacity we can.
This fourteen track compilation features friends of mine from the electronic music scene who were more than happy to donate their time and talent. Nine of these tracks are yet unreleased or exclusive. The comp was mastered by Japan based engineer Gregg Janman at Hermetech Mastering, who made time for this even as he prepared and packed for his move across continents to Europe. The cover art is by astrophotographer Masahiro Miyasaka, winner of 2009's Galilean Nights' astrophotography competition.
The proceeds will be split 50/50 between Red Cross and Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support.
I hope you love this comp!

New website!
The new website is live! It's pretty similar to the previous site, with a new coat of paint, and more robust information. A word of warning: it doesn't totally function properly on iOS devices just yet.
It's now easier to leave and see comments on news posts, and I finally have the discography on the site (what a concept).
If you encounter any bugs or anything that doesn't seem to function properly just email me at iparasite at iparasite dot net.
Thanks!

The Sick Are Not Healing physical package, and store update...
The Sick Are Not Healing has been out of print for a little bit now. Life has not yet given me the time to reprint the letterpress packaging. But you should know that Storming The Base still has copies in stock right now!
Check it out:

Also you may have noticed that our physical store is offline/closed. This is because I've been in Los Angeles for the last month and have no way of shipping out orders. I'll open it back up when I get back in February. Thanks!
